Changing existing text is handled by the dedicated PDF Text Editor tool. The Edit PDF tool focuses on adding new content on top of pages.

Is the original file changed?

No. Your edits are saved into a new PDF that you download; the original file stays untouched.

Yes. PDF App Tools is free for everyone, with no mandatory account and no payment required.
