Merge PDF - Frequently Asked Questions
How many PDFs can I merge at once?
Up to 100 files at once, each up to 100 MB and 300 MB in total. Because merging happens on your device, very large batches can be slow on older phones.
Are bookmarks and links kept?
All pages, text, images and links on the pages are kept. Bookmarks (the outline panel) from the original files are not carried over, and interactive form fields may stop being fillable.
Is this tool free to use?
Yes. PDF App Tools is free for everyone, with no mandatory account and no payment required.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Merge PDF runs entirely in your web browser. Your files are never uploaded to our servers and nothing is kept after you close the page.
Which devices and browsers are supported?
Any up-to-date browser such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari, on Windows, macOS, Android or iPhone. Very large files use more memory, so they may be slow on older phones.
